Continuing Education Information

Mental Health Systems is approved to provide the following Continuing Education Hours (CEH) to participants attending trainings sponsored by MHS.
Workshops are designed for alcohol and drug counselors, nurses, social workers, case managers and other health-care professionals.

Mental Health Systems, Inc. is an approved provider for the following professionals:

• Nurses: Mental Health Systems, Inc. is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP 15343) for contact hours.
• LCSWs/MFTs: Course meets the qualification for continuing education credits as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (Provider #PCE 2280).
• CAADE: California Association for AOD Educators (Provider #CP40-830-A-0311
• CAADAC: California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (Provider # 1S-01-478-1011)
• CAARR: California Association of Addiction Recovery Resources (Provider #5046).
• RAS: Breining Institute Registered Addictions Specialist (Provider #CEP0803031013-WRM-HS-CW).
• PSYCHOLOGISTS: Mental Health Systems, Inc. is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists (Provider # 1719).

Mental Health Systems Inc. maintains responsibility for these educational activities. 

Program Enrollment/ Courses Refund Policy
William R. Mead Training Academy’s refund policy is based on full-time attendance in courses/programs exceeding 7 hours but not more than 450 hours. The school may retain the R&M fee and a portion of the monies paid for the classes the student has attended. The student must notify the Dean of the school in writing within five business days of the date of withdrawal. Refunds shall be processed within 30 days from date of Withdrawal notice. Credit card payments will be refunded to the credit card that was used for payment. Refund checks may take 4 – 6 weeks to process. The school shall adhere to the following refund policy in the event of notification by the student of withdrawal from the school or termination by the school prior to completion of the course or program:

• Within three days of signing this contract refunded
  • Student’s Responsibility: 0% of tuition plus registration fee; material fee
• During the first class (first week)
  • Student’s Responsibility: $63 of tuition plus the registration & material fee
• Second Class (second week)
  • Student’s Responsibility: $126 of tuition plus the registration & material fee
• After three weeks & prior to the 7th week
  • Student’s Responsibility: $63 per class plus the registration & material fee
• Completion of 1 module or less than 50% of program
  • Student’s Responsibility: $315 per module plus the registration & material fee
• After 50% of program is completed
  • Student’s Responsibility: 100% of total tuition plus registration & material fee
