Fresno FIRST is a six to fifteen month residential substance abuse, gender responsive, trauma informed residential therapeutic community. It is a part of Female Offenders Treatment and Employment Program (FOTEP). The program provides Services to female pregnant women and their children while on parole.
Position Description:
• Develop relationships with outside agencies such as Child Protective Services, Head Start, and Healthy Families.
• Assist in family reunification by involving family members in clinical interventions when possible and appropriate.
• Re-establishment or development of mother/child relationships.
• Coordinate age appropriate activities for children as well as opportunities for mothers to practice parenting skills during visitation.
• Oversee visitation along with CDCR personnel.
• Design, plan, organize and supervise clinical procedures with respect to casework.
• Provide assessment of youth.
• Implement individual service plans.
• Provide case consultation.
• Provide required documentation and reports, both clinical and administrative.
• Consult with parents, caregivers, referral sources, arid other agencies.
• Provide counseling, individual and family, on site.
• Mend appropriate community and agency meetings.
• Meets and maintains security and other standards necessary for admission to the program. Complies with all CDCR requirements including security and safety. Complies
with all MHS and program rules, policies and procedures including HlPAA standards.
Education Requirements:
• A minimum of a two year degree in Early-Childhood Education.
• A minimum of one year of experience working in family or children services.
• Experience in individual, group, and family counseling.
