Program Description
MHS School-Based Program provides mental health services for Medi-Cal eligible and uninsured (MHSA) children, adolescents and their families in specified schools. Services include individual, family and group therapy, medication assessment/monitoring, case management services and referrals to other community providers. The goal of the program is to enhance the child’s functioning in school, home and/or community. Specific goals include increasing school attendance, improving school performance, and decreasing and further school related problems.
Position Description
The Program Therapist is responsible for delivery of a full range of clinically related services including individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, collateral and case management services.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Masters degree in Social Services or related field
- Two years mental health experience working with children/adolescents, including clinical experience on a cross-disciplinary team.
